  • A Titanic Performance by Year 5!

Year 5 took centre stage with their class assembly, and they certainly rose to the occasion.

From the very start, they had the audience hooked as they showcased their impressive learning across science and art, demonstrating both creativity and curiosity. However, the real showstopper was their in-depth historical investigation into one of the most infamous maritime disasters in history—the sinking of the Titanic.

Through compelling arguments and well-researched perspectives, the children explored the key question: who bore the greatest responsibility for the tragedy? With confident delivery and thoughtful insights, they brought history to life, offering a gripping analysis that kept everyone engaged.

Of course, no assembly is complete without a bit of theatrical flair, and Year 5 did not disappoint. From children sporting fake moustaches (adding a touch of Edwardian authenticity!) to a lively and well-rehearsed song, every element was delivered with enthusiasm and energy. And let’s not forget the unexpected comedic highlight—cleverly crafted, lettuce-based dad jokes that had the audience chuckling.

It was a fantastic way to start the school day, leaving everyone entertained and impressed. A huge well done to Year 5 for their hard work, confidence, and creativity!
