What a fantastic week we’ve had in Reception, making the most of the sunshine while staying cool and having fun! To beat the heat, we splashed into our paddling pool and had a blast playing with sea creature toys. Miss O'Dea even gave us a refreshing hose down – we loved it!
Inspired by the ocean, we got crafty and made our very own starfish, using cheerios as the suckers – a sticky, crunchy success! We also read Keep it Clean, which taught us all about looking after our environment. To put our learning into practice, we worked together to keep our tuff tray beach tidy… even when those naughty litterers (aka our cheeky teachers!) tried to mess it up.
In maths, we’ve been busy identifying different coins, becoming little money experts. We made sure we didn't get tricked into mistaking £1 and 1p coins, Even if they both have the same numeral. In our final writing session of the year, we reflected on our time in Reception and wrote all about what we’ve loved the most – from making friends, to going on our trips, to messy play and everything in between.
