A non-stop hive of activity are appropriate words to describe the Year 6 classroom over the past couple of weeks, with final alterations and flourishes being made to the wonderful array of costumes and props, in readiness for the eagerly anticipated production of “Wizard of Oz”. Every single member of the class has risen to the occasion - be it singing, dancing or acting. The children have relished their moment in the spotlight, and quite rightly so!
To celebrate their time together, the children will take to the water next week with a spot of Dragon Boating at Albany Outdoors. Despite the warm conditions, we are certain they will quickly get into the rhythm of things, rowing away into the distance!
With farewells in mind, thoughts turn to the forthcoming leavers assembly which will take place on the last day of term. The children will be sharing their own anecdotes and words of gratitude, looking back over the years and choosing their fondest memories. It will certainly be a fitting celebration of their St. Luke’s journey, if not a little emotional!
